Kosaraju Gopala Krishna was elected president of Visakhapatnam District Football Association (VDFA) at annual general body meeting here on Wednesday.
A Jagannadha Rao was elected secretary while A Anil Raju was elected treasurer of the VDFA.
Olympian MV Manikyalu, BVV Raju, KA Swamy, G Appa Rao, SPY Naidu, HM Patro and Raja Rao were elected as vice-presidents. Speaking on the occasion Gopala Krishna said elections for the VDFA were held after a gap of two-and-a-half decades. and the entire election process was carried out unanimously and in a democratic way.
A total of 27 members attended the annual general body meeting including the representatives from 25 football clubs.
