GMC must become the first choice of patients and not the last resort, health minister
Vishwajit Rane said, explaining that almost every day, he receives requests to move patients from various hospitals to GMC, as a place of last resort. "Many a times, a poor man's health card is exhausted in a private hospital, following which he requests for a bed in GMC's ICU. There's a need to make GMC as the first option so that it is the first hospital that people consider," he added.
