Firas Zahabi hints that Georges St-Pierre could pursue a fight with Conor McGregor

Georges St-Pierre’s head coach Firas Zahabi has hinted that the former UFC middleweight champion will try to pursue a fight with Conor McGregor. 

“I think Georges is gonna get better, get back in the gym,” Zahabi said told TSN's Robin Black.

“He’s gonna feel his body out and see what he wants, what’s the most interesting, epic fight out there. 

“Mayweather? McGregor? We need a mega-fight. Georges will come back for a big, exciting fight. No doubt about it. Georges will come back for a big exciting fight.”

UFC commentator Joe Rogan has claimed that Floyd Mayweather Jr is in talks with the UFC brass to enter the Octagon.

"This is one thing I can tell you,” he said during the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. “Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC, legitimately.

"I texted him, I go 'is Floyd really talking about fighting in MMA?'

"He goes 'Yeah, he's f------ crazy, I told him he'd get killed but he's still talking about it.'"

Khabib Nurmagomedov allays fears over his weight ahead of UFC 219

Khabib Nurmagomedov has insisted his weight is ‘perfect’ ahead of his UFC 219 bout with Edson Barboza.

“I change a lot of things,” Nurmagomedov said during a recent media day. “My weight is perfect. 

“My shape is good. I have three more hard days and I finish all my training camp and focus on making weight. We’ll see. 

“I am not in bad shape. I’m very excited about it. I want to show this.”
