Edible, non-edible oils slip on subdued demand
Mumbai, Dec 21 (PTI) Groundnut oil prices slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein fell further owing to lower demand from retailers.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial declined owing to reduced offtake from soaps and shipping industries.
Linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 950 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 960 and refined palmolein eased by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 616 as against Rs 620 yesterday.
Moving to the non-edible section, castorseeds bold dipped by Rs 20 per 100 kg to Rs 4,540 compared to Rs 4,560 yesterday and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 938 from Rs 942. Linseedsoil ended unaltered at Rs 770 per 10kg. PTI ARR ABM
