The deceased Omkar Singh Karnavat (38), Pushpendra Singh Tanvar (26) and Dhiraj Singh Pawar (25) were returning to their local residence in Maneja from their workplace when the accident took place. Police said that when they were approaching Jambua bridge on Karnavat's bike, a truck coming from Bharuch side jumped the divider and mowed them down.

Tanvar's brother Satendra Singh told the police in his complaint that when he reached the accident spot, the trio was already dead due to grievous head injuries. The driver of the truck Damor too had received minor injuries and was nabbed before he could escape from there.

Bodies of the three deceased persons were then taken to SSG Hospital for post-mortem before being handed over to their family members. Damor, who hails from Limdi in Dahod, told the police that he had not consumed alcohol and could not realize how he jumped the divider.

Police said that Tanvar and Pawar hailed from Haryana and Karnavat, who is married and has two children, hailed from Rajasthan. One of the deceased's family members said that their bodies will be taken to their native places for their final rites.
