
Pedestrian, possibly a child, struck by vehicle in SW Houston

A person was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in southwest Houston, according to police.
The Houston Police Department says a 911 caller described the victim as a child under 10 years old, but police could not immediately confirm this.
The pedestrian was struck along the 6300 block of Bellaire about 6:30 a.m.
Police say the vehicle, a red Honda, fled the scene.

Police were not immediately able to say what the pedestrian's injuries were.
