Olivier Giroud suffered a suspected hamstring injury against West Ham
The Frenchman started as the Gunners looked to book their place in the semi-finals of the League Cup.
Danny Welbeck poked home the winner for the hosts just before the break.
However, Wenger has handed another injury blow as Giroud limped off after pulling up during a counter-attack in the 78th minute.
The injury means Arsenal are left with just one fit out-and-out striker in Alexandre Lacazette.
