Position Overview and Responsibilities
AudioCure’s lead compound has a completely novel action profile inducing the transcription of neurotrophins known to promote survival and regeneration of damaged cells within the inner ear. Your focus will be to execute in vivo and in vitro assays required for the advancement of our lead compound towards clinical development. You will work in close collaboration with a dedicated team of scientists to ensure that our cutting-edge approach is advanced in an efficient and well thought out manner.
Requirements
- A PhD in neurobiology or other research and development relevant subject (e.g. biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology)
- Hands-on experience in in vivo and in vitro experimental models
- Hands-on experience in preparation of protocols, SOPs and experimental reports
- Proven experience in the independent design, execution, analyse and interpretation of experiments
- Flexibility in a results-driven and multi-task environment
- High proficiency in both English and German
- Ability to work equally well independently as well as within the AudioCure team
Preference will be given to candidates who additionally have:
- Significant experience in the field of hearing research (e.g. noise-induced hearing loss, tinnitus, ototoxicity, presbycusis)
- Hands-on experience in the establishment of experimental models for hearing disorders, surgical approaches for delivery to the inner ear and/or dissection and histology of the inner ear
- Demonstrable experience in writing and managing German “Tierversuchsantrag”
