SOUTHSIDE — Albertville eased past Southside 52-38 in boys high school basketball Tuesday.
Dillon Harding led the Aggies with 15 points along with six rebounds. Ben Allen added 10 points and three rebounds. Trinity Bell grabbed 10 rebounds.
Gavin Orr paced the Panthers with 12 points. Tristan Riggan contributed 11 points while Dawson Nunn totaled 10 points.
GIRLS PREPS HOOPS
Southside 61, Gadsden City 34
SOUTHSIDE — Southside moved to 9-0 after beating Gadsden City 61-34 at home Monday.
Adrianna Jones led the Panthers with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting along with six rebounds.
Emilee Coker added 13 points, five rebounds and four steals for Southside. Alexis Thompson contributed eight points and four rebounds. Savannah Nunn had seven points and two rebounds. Lauren Hunt made two 3-pointers for six points. Maci Williams added six points and Harley Simmons helped with five rebounds and two steals.

Gadsden State women's basketball cruised past Columbia State 75-55 Tuesday in junior college hoops.
Tori Sanders led the Cardinals (7-5) with 15 points. Morgan Blalock added 13 points.
Gadsden State plays Hanceville at home Jan. 9.

Gadsden State narrowly fell to Columbia State 86-84 Tuesday in men’s junior college basketball.
Maurice K. Johnson led the Cardinals (9-5) with 23 points. John Arnold contributed 17 points.

SOUTHSIDE — Sydney Yancey hit the game-winning basket to lift Southside past Gadsden City on Monday at home.
Yancey led the Panthers (8-1) with seven points. Chole Knight, Riley Mckee and Kate Rowe each totaled three points.
