Speaking to reporters later, she wanted to know how the video went from Dhinakaran to Vetrivel if it was true that Dhinakaran was unaware about the release of the video. She further said Sasikala would have released the video long back to clear the allegations on her, but she didn't want to do it to protect the dignity of Jayalalithaa.
Sources said that Vivek too was upset with the video and has expressed displeasure to Dhinakaran. The clip has come exactly a day after he warned that he would take legal action against those who bring disrepute to the late AIADMK supremo.
"When Jayalalithaa publicly adopted my relative V N Sudhakaran as her son and raised me with love after my father Jayaraman died when I was just one-and-a-half-year old, she would not have remained silent or hid from people if she had someone for her," he said, reacting to claims by a Bengaluru-based woman Amrutha that she was Jayalalithaa's daughter.
"Some people have been spreading heartless opinions about her personal life. In a manner so as to bring disrepute to her image, people have been claiming to be her daughter and having done this and that. This deserves punishment," he said.
Both Sasikala and her nephew Dhinakaran, who were general secretary and deputy general secretary of the AIADMK, were expelled from the party by the ruling dispensation led by chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and deputy CM O Panneerselvam.
