Former Nomads bikie president jailed over drug trafficking in Canberra

A former president of the Nomads bikie club in Canberra has been jailed for three years after failing to convince a judge the large amount of drugs found at his house were for personal use.
Mohamed Nchucki, 37, was charged with the offences in 2014, before he joined the bikie club.
He was caught with 137.8 grams of cocaine, 86 MDMA tablets and 57.28 grams of ice.
The drugs were found in his car, and in a fridge in a locked office at his home.
He has also been convicted of possessing two tasers and a flick knife.
Police told the court during their search they also found $5,888 in cash in the pocket of a pair of workpants.
Acting Justice David Robinson found Nchucki was a drug user, and had been for many years.
"I note however that his consumption of drugs was not such as to impede the efficient conduct of his business," he said.
The court heard Nchucki owned a construction business which employs between 19 and 57 people.
Acting Justice Robinson said he could not decide if others were involved in the drug operation, but found Nchucki was above the typical street dealer level.
"Profit was the dominant motivation for the dealing in this case," he said.
Nchucki will not be eligible for release until February 2019.
