Members of a Facebook group called TRB Government Polytechnic Lecturer Recruitment were the whistle-blowers of this scam, as the irregularity came to light after they posted the details of the candidates who had qualified for certificate verification with forged marks.
Officials said that this was for the first time such a scam has happened, and the TRB is transparent in its each and every action. The test in question happened on September 16 this year for filling 1,058 lecturers' vacancies in polytechnic colleges. A whopping number of 1,70,363 candidates had applied for the exam and 1,33,567 appeared for it, and the results were published on November 7.
