NEW DELHI. A passenger today tweeted a picture of a cockroach they claimed was found in a meal served at Air India's Business class lounge in Delhi airport. Timesofindia.com cannot verify the authenticity of the photograph that has sparked outrage on social media.

As soon as the tweet began to catch attention of Twitter users, Air India issued an apology and assured appropriate corrective actions.

This is not the first instance of a cockroach being found in a meal served by the government-owned aircraft. In November this year, a passenger traveling to Chicago tweeted pictures of a dead cockroach they claimed was found in a meal served on-board. Timesofindia.com couldn't verify if that photograph either was indeed of such a meal.
