The Kerala High Court has asked the State government to produce the inquiry report on the visits of various persons including certain film personalities at the Aluva sub-jail when actor Dileep was remanded in connection with the case relating to the sexual assault on woman actor.

The court passed the directive when the government informed the court that inquires were conducted into the jail visits by a Deputy Superintendent of Police, Aluva, who reported that there was no violation of prison rules.

In his petition, Maneesha M. Chathely of Thrissur said that the jail authorities had committed grave irregularities in allowing visitors at the jail in violation of the prison rules. The petitioner sought a directive to the State Police Chief to conduct an investigation into the visits by various persons during Dileep’s remand period.

Remand extended

Meanwhile, the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Angamaly on Tuesday extended the remand period of six accused in the case, including Sunil Kumar, the main accused, till January 1. The court extended their remand period even as the team probing the case did not produce them before the magistrate as scheduled earlier. Three of the accused, identified as Charley, Vishnu and Sanal, appeared before the magistrate and obtained a copy of the chargesheet.
