In a sharp reaction to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s assertion that the Gujarat and HP election results would have no impact in Odisha, BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said people of the State would give the reply whenever elections are held.
“It (CM’s assertion) better explains the Odia saying ‘who is inside the temple; I have not eaten the banana’. When people’s trust on Prime Minister Narendra Modi mounts, its impact on Odisha can be said by its people,” he said.
“A particular party will not win elections in Odisha all the time,” said Pradhan.
Trust on the Prime Minister is increasing among the State’s people; and whenever there would be an election, it would have a very positive impact on the BJP, claimed he.
