Michael Douglas Hanen has been ordered by a judge to stay at least 500 feet from playgrounds, schools and any place where children get together as he is facing 38 counts of child pornography.
The Umatilla man is facing a $38,000 bond, although the state wanted him to remain on no bond.
Henon's public defender argued that bond should be $2,000 for each count, but the judge ended up setting bond at $10,000 for each of the 38 counts he is facing.
The 67-year-old Hanen was arrested Tuesday morning at his home in Umatilla after agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) said they received a tip that he had child porn.
When they obtained a search warrant, investigators say they found a laptop on his dining room table that contained 38 images of child porn.
Those images, according to the arrest report, involved girls as young as the age of 2 to 9 years of age.
After his arrest, Hanen told investigators he was an active Boy Scout leader and has been for decades.
FDLE says now that an arrest has been made the agency wants parents to call them.
“It’s important to us that we communicate with the parents. We really want to know who did this man have, what children did this man have interaction with and it's important that we want to solicit that help from parents," said Danny Banks, Special Agent in Charge, Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
FDLE is also working to identify the children in those images.
Meanwhile, the Central Florida boy Scouts says it has removed him from his position as a Scout leader.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FDLE's Orlando office at 407-245-0888.
