TS man poisons family, later kills self

SIDDIPET : Three died after a person poisoned his family members and attempted suicide in Turkavanikunta village of Siddipet district on Tuesday. Meanwhile, one of the family members, who has been admitted at Karimnagar government hospital is said to be in a critical condition.According to police, Goda Bhagwan Reddy’s daughter G Roja (20) was in love with a person from Yadav community from the same village. Roja told her parents that she wanted to marry her lover. Roja’s father felt insulted and decided to kill himself and his family members by poisoning them.

On Tuesday morning, Bhagwan Reddy mixed poison in the food and gave it to his wife, son and daughter. He waited till they were unconscious and later attempted suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling. Bhagwan Reddy’s wife Rajavva retained her consciousness and later was shifted to hospital, police said.
Meanwhile, Siddipet police commissioner A Shivakumar said Reddy’s family committed suicide due to financial crunch and added that police officials found a letter, which was signed by Bhagwan Reddy and his wife. He said that based on the letter found, police have registered a case of suicide due to financial problems.
