IMA initiative to rescue accident victims

The Indian Medical Association Kerala branch will soon start Trauma Rescue Initiative (TRI) Trivandrum to help accident victims who are left stranded on the spot. The initiative is a joint project of the IMA Trivandrum, Ramesh Kumar Foundation, U.S., and the Kerala Police. Under the initiative, ambulance services as well as trauma medical centres, both private and government in the city, will be networked. The project will be first implemented in the city on a trial basis. Ten trauma care hospitals have been included in the project and ambulance drivers have been given training.
