'I felt VIOLATED’ Arthur Collins’ lawyer used yoga photos to ‘show victim's recovery'

A BRAVE victim of Arthur Collins’ nightclub acid attack said she “felt violated” when the thug’s lawyer used her social media posts in a bid to prove she had recovered.

“I felt quite violated when they brought up the yoga”

Phoebe Georgiou, 22, spent weeks in hospital following the cruel April attack where she was unable to move – fearing the scars would rupture.

But her pain continued when Collins lawyer, George Carter-Stephenson QC, produced photos of the fashion student doing yoga in Greece.

He then revealed other pictures of the other victims.

The barrister said the images “to a certain extent show they have returned to some normality”.

Phoebe said a therapist had told her to take up yoga to ease her anxiety and trauma.

She told The Sun Online: “I feel quite violated when they brought up yoga because it’s been the main thing getting me through this.”

Following the attack, the 23-year-old had to undergo surgery and said the months were filled with “constant” therapy and hospital appointments.

Phoebe later said she was stunned when the thug’s lawyer presented photos of her in Greece where she had been recovering at her family’s second home.

She added: “I felt so violated that they brought that up. What you put on social media is you trying to be that confident girl.”

“When I heard the sentence I felt that justice had been done and I hope this gives the message to people that carry acid there will be serious consequences.”

Thug Collins, 25, who had been in a relationship with reality TV star Ferne McCann, was caged for 20 years on Tuesday after previously being found guilty of five counts of previous bodily harm with intent and nine counts of actual bodily harm.

Judge Noel Lucas QC ruled that Collins was “dangerous”, meaning he will serve at least two-thirds of the jail term.

As he was led to his cell Collins winked at his family as they shouted: “Love you, Arth.”
