DHAKA: A man died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) after he had been hit by a bus in city’s Maghbazar flyover area on Monday night (December 18).
The deceased Shafiqul Islam, 45, son of late Rafiqul Islam, hailed from Ujanijora village of Debidwar upazila under Comilla district.
Shuvo, the deceased’s son, said two buses were running, competing with each. On the way, one hit his father while they were standing over Maghbazar flyover, leaving him seriously injured.
Afterwards, both of them were rushed to DMCH as Shuvo too was injured in his right hand.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia of DMCH police camp told Banglanews that body was preserved in morgue for post mortem.
