Nepali student ‘commits suicide’ in capital

A dental college student from Nepal reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at the college hostel in the capital city's Vatara area on Tuesday.

Police recovered the hanging body of Binisha Shah, a third-year student of Pioneer Dental College, from the hostel in the afternoon, reports UNB.

Quamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Vatara Police Station, said Binisha came out of the examination hall half an hour before the end of the scheduled time of the term-2 examination after submitting her answer sheet.

Later, she went to the hostel and hanged herself from the ceiling of her room, he said, adding that they recovered the body around 1:45pm.
