Good news for nature lovers and tourists! After more than three months of strike, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) resumed operations with a chartered service from New Jalpaiguri to Sukna in the foothills. The DHR, however, has decided against starting service in the Hills sector and is waiting till the end of this month to take a call. DHR director said that as soon as the bandh was withdrawn they started receiving queries from both domestic and international tourists. He hopes that the service will continue without any disturbances.
