Coronation Street Rana and Kate's lesbian affair finally rumbled

The New Year won't get off to a cracking start for the Coronation Street cast members.

In recent episodes, Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) blurted out that she was pregnant during an awkward confrontation with Luke (Dean Fagan) – who found the girls half-naked and kissing.

And it won't be long until her lie catches up with her.

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that in upcoming scenes, Rana will accidentally drop her made-up baby secret in front of hubby Zeedan.

Rana pretends to play happy families with Zeedan up until January, when he demands to know whether she really is expecting.

This shock questioning prompts Rana to shake-up her moral compass.

Ashamed of her constant stream of fibs, Rana tells Kate she's going to come clean with Zeedan and tell him the truth.

Naturally, Kate is overjoyed when she hears that Rana is going to leave her hubby for her… but the course of true love never runs smoothly in soap land.

When Rana starts to see Zeedan's plans for the future and their made-up baby, she starts doubting whether she can go through with it.

Will the cheating vixen come clean or will she get outed?

More affair trouble is right around the corner for the secret couple.

In upcoming episodes, Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) gets suspicious when he spies girlfriend Michelle (Kym Marsh) handing over her flat keys to Kate and Rana.

There's a strong chance The Bistro owner could expose the ladies if he finds out what they are up to.

Will he spy on the girls and fill his former employee Zeedan what he finds?
