BARCELONA star Luis Suarez has hinted that the Catalan club are pursuing both Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann.

Luis Suarez would welcome Griezmann and Coutinho

Barca no.9 Suarez described the Brazilian and French pair as “elite players”.

The club’s desire to sign Coutinho is well known, but Liverpool rebuffed all advances in the summer.

Griezmann was yesterday controversially pictured blacking up as a basketball player.

And despite both stars playing in a similar position to Suarez, it seems the Uruguayan would welcome them at the Nou Camp.

“Both Griezmann and Coutinho are elite players that are playing at the top level,” Suarez told Spanish radio station RAC105.

“They are where they are for a reason.

“He’s not a fixed no.9”

“They’re both young and have long careers ahead of them.”

Suarez moved to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014 and has scored 94 goals in 110 La Liga games.

His ‘MSN’ partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar was one of the most feared attacking combinations in world football.

But since Neymar departed for PSG last summer, Barcelona have been looking for a replacement.

And Suarez, 30, believes Atletico star Griezmann could fit the bill.

Barcelona always want the best players,” he continued.

“If you look at (Greizmann), at Atletico he needs to play with a no.9.

“He’s not a fixed no.9.

“Obviously, Griezmann would come here to add to the team and to help the side in the position that the coach wants him to play in.”
