COVENTRY, R.I. — A Scituate man was charged with third-degree sexual assault after being accused of having had sex multiple times with a 14-year-old girl.

The Coventry police arrested Jeffrey Delnas, 33, of 80 Main St., in Scituate, on Monday after detectives received a complaint.

According to a news release from Detective Lt. Matthew Blair, Delnas was arraigned Tuesday at Kent County Courthouse, where he was ordered held on $50,000 with surety. He was also ordered to have no contact with anyone younger than 18, according to the release.
