Police freedom fighters honoured in Bhola

Bhola: District Police of Bhola on Tuesday accorded a reception to the valiant police personnel of the district who fought fought against the occupant force in 1971.

District Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Akther Hussain, civil society members and police freedom fighters spoke at the programme held in the SP's conference room in the district town.

Gifts and flowers was handed over to the freedom fighter police members by the guests at the programme.

SP Akther, in his speech, said freedom fighters are the great sons of the nation. "We honoured ourselves by honouring the freedom fighters," he said.

Among others, additional superintendent of police (administration) Mir Shafin Mahmud, assistant  superintendent of police (sadar circle) Riazul Kabir, assistant  superintendent of police Sheikh Sabbir Hussain, Bhola Press Club president M Habibur Rahman and Daily Dakkhin Pranto editor Nazrul Haque Anu spoke at the programe.
