Peel Regional Police are hunting two men who walked into a Brampton bank Tuesday morning in what was an apparent robbery.
It took place around 11 a.m. at a CIBC bank near Bovaird Dr. E. and Conestoga Dr. A shot was fired and “property” taken, according to police. No injuries were reported.
“They fled, it’s unknown whether on foot or on a vehicle,” said Const. Bancroft Wright.
Five schools were placed on hold and secure, including Heart Lake Secondary School, Conestoga Public School, Arnott Public School and St. Leonard and St. Cecilia Elementary School as police investigate. As of 12:05 p.m., that was lifted.
Police have not released descriptions of the two suspects.
