New Delhi: Pakistan has faced batting woes for the longest of time, and since the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan, this problem has only come to the fore. But there are some talented batsmen who look promising, and could be the ones to look out for in the future. One such batsmen is opener Babar Azam, who has done wonderfully well for the team and has already scored seven ODI tons in his 36 match career. The youngster is compared to Indian skipper Virat Kohli, for his achievements.

In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Azam said that he shouldn't be compared to the Indian, as he is a very big player. The comparison was done by Mickey Arthur, Pakistani coach. "He compared me with a very big player. I think it shouldn't be done. But that is the coach's thinking. Maybe the stats at the start of our careers are similar, but he is the No. 1 batsman in the world. I want to perform at a high level for Pakistan too," Azam said.

The 23-year-old batsman had notched three back-to-back hundreds against the West Indies, that had given a great start to his international career. Reacting to his great run, Azam said, "I was quite excited about the first hundred. The confidence got higher after the second. Ahead of the third hundred, I knew that I was looking at a world record. But I felt similar to how it was before the first two hundreds."
