
Five-vehicle collision on 610 North Loop leaves one dead

A five-vehicle wreck on the 610 North Loop early Tuesday morning has left one person dead, police said.
The fatal collision occurred about 5:45 Tuesday morning on the westbound 610 North Loop just before Airline Drive, according to the Houston Police Department.
One person died in the collision; HPD was unable to confirm whether there were additional injuries or how many.
Houston Transtar is reporting that all lanes are still affected, causing significant traffic delays. As of 7 a.m., traffic was moving about 15 miles an hour for a three-mile stretch between Irvington and Shepherd/Durham.
