NEW DELHI: Launching a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the impressive show by the Congress in the Gujarat Assembly polls, party president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the elections in the state have put a serious question mark on Prime Minister’s credibility.
Talking to reporters a day after the Congress put up its most impressive performance in the Gujarat Assembly polls in the last 35 years by winning 80 seats in the 182-member Assembly, Mr Gandhi said,”the Gujarat assembly elections have raised serious question mark on the credibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the campaigning for the state assembly polls, he did not talk about the problems that were facing the people of the state. He neither talked about development nor about the problems of farmers and the traders.”
”Also, during the campaign, he talked about corruption but failed to say a word about the irregularities in the deal for Rafale fighter aircraft or the unaccounted wealth of Jay Shah.” (AGENCIES)
