‘Stop!’ Piers Morgan forced to step in as transgender model uses the N-word on morning TV
PIERS MORGAN was forced to intervene when a Good Morning Britain debate saw one guest use the N-word a number of times.
The presenter was chatting to Munroe Bergdorf and Edward Adoo about whether or not Twitter should restrict freedom of speech as well as racism when talk turned to footballer Antoine Griezmann, who recently painted himself black when he dressed as a basketball player for a party.
Antoine later apologised for his actions and took down the photo he posted online.
Susanna Reid quizzed the pair on the incident, asking them: “Is that freedom of speech?”
Munroe answered: “Can I chip in here? I can’t say n***a and I’m going to say it. I’m going to say it because at the end of the day…”

“You’ve said it so many times,” Edward interrupted. “It’s breakfast TV, I don’t think that’s right.”
Piers was then forced to step in, politely asking: “Munroe, we would like you to stop using the word.”
But Munroe was not impressed, hitting back: “This reaction of me using the N-word is seen as more violent than the fact that we are actually called this.”
It wasn’t the first time that Munroe had used the word, with Susanna earlier issuing Munroe a warning over the racial slur.
And viewers at home were not impressed that the N-word had been broadcast either and took to Twitter to comment on the heated debate.
