Wheat slips on higher supply

prices went down by Rs 20 per at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by mills against adequate stocks position.

However, other grains held steady in thin trade.


Traders said, besides reduced offtake by mills, ample stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts, mainly led to the decline in prices.

In the national capital, dara (for mills) fell by Rs 20 to Rs 1,785-1,790 per Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,795-1,800 per 90 kg.
