Opposition MLAs to also get Rs 18 crore funds

PORVORIM: Chief minister Manohar Parrikar held a meeting with opposition legislators on Monday over allotment of funds for the development of the constituencies represented by them.

In a brief meeting with the opposition legislators on the sidelines of the winter session of Goa legislative assembly, Parrikar asked them to submit their respective proposals for Rs 15 crore for development works, and Rs 3 crore for non-plan works.


The chief minister assured all MLAs to sanction works of Rs 18 crore each. The legislators will be entitled to claim Rs 10 crore each for developmental works before the end of the financial year.
