1. Written Communication comes first

The best way to initiate a conflict resolution plan is to take help of written communication techniques. Verbal argument can worsen the situation! In this case written mode, such as email or letter will be of good use to communicate the right message. When someone writes, they choose their words carefully, whereas while speaking, a person might end up speaking what they don’t intent to. Aspects such as yelling, loosing temper and urge to become violent also subside. The matter that could have taken an ugly shape is pacified due to written form of conflict resolution.

2. Indulge in Discussion

Lack of communication leading to misunderstandings is also one of the major sources of conflicts. When a person willingly agrees for discussion, several grudges comes to end. Verbal communication removes any scope for groundless suspicion that causes quarrels. In fact, discussion is the starting point of beginning a new relation that has no room for doubt. You get to know the perspective of other person and start understanding the rationale for their behaviour. Nothing remains unjustified once the clouds of doubts sink to let the sunshine enter your life.

3. Reach a Compromise

If you keep interest of one person as a priority and neglect the concern of other, it will create more fuss. In order to resolve conflict peacefully, compromise is the bet resort when both parties have expectations from each other. If the employee is dissatisfied with the HR department due to less hike in his/her salary, they should meet and discuss the matter and reach a fair compromise wherein both the parties land up in a win-win situation. A loose-win situation can never keep harmony in the office. For the healthy growth of the organisation, a little give and take is the best resolution to reduce the likelihood of further conflict.

4. Organise Voting

This is one of the least practised method, but a very effective one. It can be adopted when there is a consensus among few members of the group but the other group members do not agree on the same thought. For say, whether the office should be open to flexi-time facility is a big question. They can conduct voting among the members and the opinion of majority shall be implemented. the result of voting will speak for itself and there will be no further scope for any conflicting opinions.
