Pakistan- Player from Shangla selected in national Under-19 team

(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) SHANGLA, 19 December: A player from Shangla Zaid Alam has been selected in the Under-19 squad of Pakistan for World Cup.

Zaid Alam has been included in the national Under-19 team as an all-rounder. He belongs to Choga village council of Puran and his father runs a tea hotel in Lahore. Zaid has been playing in the Under-19 team for the last three years and he also led Punjab team in the Under-19 T20 tournament.

The people of Shangla have expressed happiness over selection of Zaid in the national team. He hails from an area where there are no facilities of sports.

The national Under-19 team will leave for Australia to participate in the World Cup on Thursday. Pakistan team will also play series against Australia and New Zealand before the World Cup.
