Dhara to sponsor 1st edition of Dainik Jagran's Healthon across 12 cities

After motivating millions of people to adopt cycling for BIKEaTHON Dainik Jagran INEXT is now bringing the urban-urbane population of Hindi heartland out in the city to enjoy a walk with family and friends for Healthon 1.0.

The daily news paper is organising a celebration of walk - HEALTHON - in 12 cities of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Jharkhand. The idea is to make aware the people about their health the benefits of walk and how it makes adds a glow of health to your personality. 

The event will be a never-before experience for the Hindi heartland. Being promoted with the tagline ‘Get Set Glow…’ the publication is to include several glow elements like neon sticks, glow rings, flash and laser lights to make the evening even more memorable. A glimpse of what’s in store for the participants was revealed through a teaser video made public recently. 

Healthon is a unique format in which city people of all age groups and gender will gather in the pre decided location (ideally on a street) in the evening and will be able to celebrate the freedom of fun, fitness and excitement in a unique way. 

A 2.5km long pathway route will be marked for the event where there will be all the family entertainment elements like food stalls, Kids Zone, Music Zone, Live performances and many more. 50,000 people across age groups are expected to participate in the HEALTHON.

Talking about the event, Alok Sanwal, COO, Dainik Jagran INEXT says, “We have been alerting our readers on their typical urban lifestyle that’s taking a toll on their health. The event is aimed at highlighting the fact that Indians are the biggest population of people with heart issues in the world and just a walk can make all the difference.”

“We are not making it a typical health-centric event. It will be a cocktail of fun, frolic, relaxation and social event where families and friends could come and enjoy togetherness that brings fitness to their hearts and fills it with joy too,” added Alok.

‘Dhara’ from Mother Dairy group happens to be the ‘Presenting Partner’ of the Healthon 1.0.
The event will be executed in 7 phases for all 12 cities. The kick start will be on 30th December in Kanpur followed by rest of the 11 cities.
