The two Oscar contenders will be recognized at the Italian festival.

Two Oscar contenders will be honored at the Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Call Me by Your Name will receive the prizes for best original screenplay and best adapted screenplay, respectively. 

Three Billboards will have its first public screening in Italy since writer-director Martin McDonagh picked up the best screenplay award in Venice after the film's world premiere. Frances McDormand stars as a bitter mother, opposite Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson, aiming to get revenge on her daughter's death in the only way that she knows how. The film is nominated for six Golden Globes and also won the people's choice award at the Toronto Film Festival.

Call Me By Your Name, nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, was written by James Ivory and Luca Guadagnino, based on the Andre Aciman novel. Timothee Chalamet stars as a 17-year-old boy who falls in love with his father's research assistant (Armie Hammer) over a summer in Italy. Guadagnino was previously honored in Capri in 2010. 

Capri, Hollywood takes place over the New Year holiday as the last major film festival of the year. It is considered a key stopping point on the road to the Academy Awards. 

As previously announced, Paolo Virzi will be honored with a special screening of The Leisure Seeker before receiving the master of cinematic art award. And Novitiate will be the opening film. 

The 22nd edition of the festival takes place Dec. 26, 2017-Jan. 2, 2018.
