Sleuths of Special Task Force (STF), UP nabbed a notorious wild-life criminal wanted in several cases in Madhya Pradesh from Hapur district on Sunday.
The miscreant arrested was identified as Sooraj Singh of Umariya district of Madhya Pradesh. The team recovered a voter I card, an Aadhaar Card and Rs 200 from the miscreant. Sooraj’s name surfaced in an incident in which he and his aides had killed a tigress and her cub and had smuggled their body parts organs in Umariya Forest range of Madhya Pradesh. After Sooraj underwent hiding, addition Principal Chief Wild Life Conservator, Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh wrote to the UP STF requesting help in nabbing Sooraj after his location was traced in UP by the Madhya Pradesh Police.
Subsequently, SSP STF, UP Abhishek Singh formed a team to work on the case. The team worked in sync with a team of forest department of Madhya Pradesh government and traced Sooraj’s location in Hapur district. The team also was tipped off that Sooraj will travel to Delhi by a bus. The team laid a trap and nabbed the miscreant from near Chapala Tehsil of Hapur district.
Sooraj confessed his crime and disclosed that he and his aides, identified as Dalveer, Bhaiyya Singh, Ajay Singh, Santram and Abhay Singh, had killed a tigress and her cub and had smuggled the body parts. He was later handed over to the team of forest department of Madhya Pradesh.
