Stocks witness rise

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed slight rise on Monday, the third trading of the week, as investors were active on banking sector shares.

In Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 455.00 crore.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 6,224 points increasing 11 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached at 1,373 points rising 33 point.

The DS30 index also increased 5 points to stand 2,244 points.

Of the issues traded today, 99 advanced, 178 declined and 54 remained unchanged.

In Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), turnover stood at Tk 23.35 crore.  

Selective Category Index - CSCX - rose 30 points to stand at around 19,272 points.

Of the issues traded, 89 gained, 120 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
