Bhopal: Scindia targets CM at Jan Akrosh rally

Bhopal: After the whirlwind tour of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia took out ‘Jan Akrosh’ rally at Piprai of Mungaoli constituency on Sunday. The prestige of Congress MP is at stake in the impending by-polls in Kolaras and Mungaoli assembly constituencies which lie within Guna Lok Sabha seat. The schedule for the by-elections is yet to be announced. Stung by a humiliating defeat in Chitrakoot assembly by-poll, the chief minister has taken the rein in his hand. During his visit to these two constituencies, Chauhan had taken on Scindia.

On Sunday, Scindia drove a tractor to the venue of public meeting attended over by 25 000 people. Addressing the meet, the Congress leader launched a scathing attack on the chief minister saying that programmes run by the government are embroiled corruption. Bhavantar scheme has turned into a ‘Corruption Unlimited Scheme’, he said.

Taking a swipe at CM over his taking meal at dalit’s house, Scindia alleged that on one hand Chauhan was having food at a dalit’s house, but on the other he suspends a dalit principal of a college, because he had demand money to make better arrangement there. He went on to allege that while taking food with the home minister Bhupendra Singh Thakur, the BJP MLA, Gopilal Jatav was served food in ‘dona pattal’, whereas others were having the food on plates (thali). This exposes the real face of the BJP, he added.


Questioning the recent visits of the chief minister and others, Scindia said that Chauhan and his ministerial colleagues were touring the areas in view of the approaching by-elections as in past they never had time to come to these constituencies The Guna MP said that during Shivpuri elections, CM had announced Rs 150 crore developmental works, but nothing has been done on that front so far. “This election is not a fight between Scindia and CM or BJP and Congress. It’s a battle for justice and development,” he added.

Disprove exit poll findings which has predicted saffron wave in Gujarat & HP, Scindia said the party is confident of its victory. Exit polls have failed before also the results after the counting of the votes will give a real picture, said Scindia, while interacting media, here on Sunday.
