A Houston man was called out Sunday night by the organizers for Day for Night for allegedly using a fake pass to enter the music and arts festival.

Shortly before Solange took the stage Sunday just before 7:00 p.m., organizers of Day for Night plastered Jimmy Nguyen's face on two huge screens.

"This is Jimmy Nguyen. He needs to leave the festival immediately," a middle screen on the main stage read. "#BOGUS."

A photo of the announcement was posted on Free Press Houston's Instagram account Sunday night (the founders of Free Press Houston also created Day for Night). That photo was shared on Reddit's r/houston forum early Monday morning.

In the Reddit thread, Nguyen's supposed roommate claims he wasn't trying to sell fake festival passes.

"One of our friends had gotten 2 fake all access passes made so she gave them to us to get in. They worked, but we ended up bumping into a girl that we both went to high school with who happened to be a street team manager or some s--- that worked for Day For Night," Reddit user Sylariss commented.

The girl allegedly questioned Nguyen and his roommate about how they were able to afford the passes. They admitted to her that they were fake, according to Reddit user Sylariss.

"She didn't seem upset at the time, and we ended up parting ways after having a conversation. But about 3 hours later a friend from the main stage sent us a bunch of pictures that had him on blast on the big screens," Reddit user Sylariss added, who also shared a photo of him Nguyen in their room to prove their friendship.

Around 10 p.m., a security guard noticed Nguyen and kicked him out.

Nguyen appears to have come to his own defense on Instagram in response to Free Press Houston's photo.

"[W]as not selling fake passes just got my hands on one and let the wrong person know that I did," datboyjimmy wrote on Instagram. "[W]as given a fake pass, used it and then got caught."

A request for comment has been placed with Nguyen and Day for Night.
