Gaya College team lifts cricket trophy

PATNA: Gaya College won the inter-college cricket tournament hosted by A N College on its premises here on Monday. Fifteen colleges participated in this tournament. Gaya College beat Mirza Galib College, Gaya, by 5 wickets. Rohit Kumar was declared the man of the match whereas Gautam was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament. A N College principal Shashi Pratap Shahi and Prof Ajay Kumar distributed the prizes. The programme was coordinated by Sanjay Kumar Singh, Uttam Kumar and Ajay Prakash.

Tarumitra camp concludes: The four-day winter camp organized for school students concluded on Tarumitra premises on Monday. The theme of the camp was 'Freedom of river from all sorts of pollution'. Students from St Michael's High School, Veena Vidya Niketan, St Joseph's School Bettiah, Asha International School, Sarvodaya School, Anugrah Narayan College, St Xavier's College and Patna University attended the camp. In an open dialogue session, the students talked about how to combat the problem of pollution. They also took staged a road show in Digha area to revive the Chandravat river of Bettiah. They also shared their ideas about best use of waste and displayed models made out of trash on the spot. The camp was coordinated by Devopriya Dutta, Margeret Molomoo, Shashi Darshan and D N Prasad.
