Initial trends suggests that Congress backed Jignesh Mevani is trailing in Vadgam in the early lead in Gujarat Assembly elections. Counting of votes for all the 182 assembly seats of the assembly seats began at 8 AM. Counting is going on at 37 centres across 33 districts of the state.
