JAMMU: Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid declared the 29th J&K State Junior Volleyball Championships open at M.A Stadium, on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S.P Vaid said that games provide great opportunity to the youth from different parts of our State to connect with one another and know about culture of different regions.
He congratulated the Volleyball Association of J&K State and Sports Council for organising such events and providing opportunity to budding talent to flourish.

He said that organising the volleyball championship for the youth from different districts of the State in Jammu will help the youth in developing friendship and also knowing about the language, dress and traditions of one another.
This goes in long way in understanding the rich diverse culture, our State is having from Leh to Poonch and from Uri to Lakhanpur. He hoped that the games will help in identifying new players who can represent State in the game in future.
