The luxurious motor is the brainchild of design firm Lazzarini Design Studio, who based the stunning vehicle on classic cars of the 1920s.
Christened the Hover Coupe, the car represents a cross between a Rolls-Royce, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Jetsons' flying car.
Four powerful turbines sit in place of the wheels on either side of the vehicle, allowing for seamless take off and mid-air manoeuvre.

Pierpaolo Lazzarini – lead designer on the ambitious conceptual project – claimed the sleek vehicle is based on the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8.
The Tipo 8 was manufactured between 1919 and 1924, rivalling Britain’s Rolls-Royce at the time.
So far, there has been no timeframe given for when the vehicle might become a reality – but the company remain hopeful that the design could come to life sooner rather than later.
"Inspired by the Isotta Fraschini, a full blood Italian legend, here at Lazzarini Design we played with our imagination to relaunch the brand in a futuristic way. And no wheels needed,” Lazzarini Design Studio said in a statement.

"The Hover Coupè maintains the soft lines, yet is powered by four turbine engine, similar to the ones in use in commercial planes, but smaller in diameter at 50cm.
"Four jet engines are mounted on an extremely light carbon body structure. The vehicle measures 4500mm in length, can hover vertically, moving forward thanks to a system of specially fitted flaps.
"Similar to a drone in the manoeuvrability, the Hover Coupè could reach, hypothetically, an estimated top speed of 550km/h and it turns left and right by the release of the available air inside the turbines.”
