A 29-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges after a police officer was hit in the face.
At around 1:20 a.m. CST Sunday, officers tracked a suspicious vehicle to a home on Avenue O South and a man went inside.
When officers approached the building, a man ran out the front door. Police chased after the man and the officer was hit after a fight broke out.
The suspect is facing charges of assaulting a police officer, breach of probation and breach of recognizance.
The officer wasn't seriously hurt. The suspect received minor wounds from a dog bite.
