Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Isco are battling for places in Real Madrid's starting XI

The Frenchman possesses a squad full of world class talents that have won three of the past four Champions League titles.

But they’ve been nowhere near their best this season and currently trail arch-rivals Barcelona by 11 points in La Liga.

Real’s issues have partly been caused by the famed BBC trio of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo failing to find top form.

And it appears the situation has reached crisis point with Isco and Marco Asensio said to be fuming.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has multiple selection dilemmas on his hands

According to Diario Gol, the midfield duo feel they should be in Real’s team ahead of Benzema.

However, Zidane is in his compatriot’s corner and that means he won’t be dropped.

Ronaldo is apparently of the belief that Benzema should retain his place in the starting XI too.

And the Portuguese is joined by Benzema in wanting Bale in the team alongside him.

Marco Asensio wants more playing time at Real Madrid

Isco and Asensio are likely to be benched together once Bale returns to full fitness.

And Diario Gol claim the entire scenario has become "ugly".

Real’s deficit to Barcelona grew over the weekend as they missed a domestic fixture to compete in the Club World Cup.

They face Ernesto Valverde's side at the Bernabeu on Saturday in a game which could change the course of the title race.
