PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Two men have been arrested after police responded to 188 Pratt St. in College Hill early Sunday for a report of people possibly attempting to steal the rims and tires of a motor vehicle.

Officers responded shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, according to a report released by Cmdr. Thomas Verdi, and "both subjects immediately began to flee from police on foot," running from Pratt Street towards Benefit Street.

Police were able to apprehend one of the suspects, later identified as Joshua Ortiz, near Canal Street and Park Row. The second eluded police.

On Pratt Street, "police located two motor vehicles missing all four tires," the report added.

On Monday morning at about 4:15 .m., an officer noticed a man fitting the description of the second suspect walking on Smith Street. This man, Terrell Judd, was later positively identified as the suspect. Both men are being charged with two counts of felony larceny and one count of conspiracy, according to the report.
