Unfazed with criticism by the Congress leaders, BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday reiterated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is a "bachacha" (child), in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Siddaramaiah always talks lightly of the Prime Minister. He (Siddaramaiah) is a bachacha...He is no match to Modi," he stated while addressing the BJP workers at Nava Karnataka Nirmana Parivarthana Yatra here.

The Congress leaders had recently taken exception to Yeddyurappa calling Siddaramaiah 'bachacha,' saying that it shows the BJP culture.

The second leg of the BJP's Parivarthana Yatra in Bengaluru on Sunday assumes significance as it covered eight Assembly segments in the city where the BJP is said to be not very strong. Party president Amit Shah is learnt to have directed the state unit leaders to focus on these constituencies and ensure that the party wins all of them in the coming elections. The third leg of the yatra in Bengaluru is scheduled to be held at Vijayanagar on January 7.

Yeddyurappa said that he has so far covered 112 Assembly constituencies as part of the yatra in the state and, claimed that he has received overwhelming response from people during the yatra.
