A modified version of the Tesla Model S, featuring a new Shooting Brake design, has been revealed. 

Last week, it was reported that RemetzCar was building a new estate version of the Model S electric car. 

It is not the only company manufacturing this specific Model S modification.

Qwest Norfolk has pipped RemetzCar to the post, revealing a ‘fully working’ production model. 

The UK company, comprised of automotive designers, released a video of the finished car and a number of pictures displaying the manufacturing process. 

It made the adjustments to the design of an existing Model S P90D. 

West Norfolk said in a tweet: “And finally... the bit you've all been waiting for. 

“A few of you doubted it was even real..captured earlier today the moment that @TeslaTed very own P90D-SB connected to the #ElonMusknetwork became visible and moved.”

The electric car is packed full of sensors and complicated electronics to allow it have its self-driving capabilities. 

The Model S does suit the Shooting Brake/Wagon design but it does lose some of its elegance and charm.

While the new rear design was created using carbon fibre, there is no doubt that these modifications will affect the car’s performance. 

How much the blistering acceleration or range will be affected by the extra weight has not yet been confirmed. 

Prices for the car or how many will go into production has also yet to be confirmed but expect it to be limited and expensive.
